CURTIN UNIVERSITY BENTLEY CAMPUS
WORKPLACE
2021
Inspired by the desire to make physical the idea of a progressive workplace that is open to change and collaboration, The spaces in the newly designed School of Design and Built Environment are intended to be dynamic and give a sense of movement to create a kinetic energy that feeds into the frenetic pace of the work environment.
It seeks to embolden its users to think freely and adapt (or change) the environment that they work in, a juxtaposition that is supposed to be both challenge and solace at once. Homage is paid to the old Curtin University Architecture Building 201, incorporating leading lines and sharp edges reminiscent of its brutality, transitioning to curved lines and softer materials to reflect a new age and reflective of a workplace and culture that is ever evolving, progressing, full of energy and life.
